Items we cannot take:

• Grass, leaves or brush (prohibited by Michigan State Law)

• Tires • Liquids (oil, paint, insecticides, anything hazardous) 

• Fluorescent bulbs

• Ink cartridges (Please recycle at Office Depot or your local school.  The vapors from them when crushed is a health hazard for our employees).• Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers cannot be brought into the landfill.  

 

We run normal on the following holidays:

Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day.

 

We run a day behind on

New Years’ Day and Christmas Day

 

If the holiday falls on or before your pickup day, then your day is one day behind with Friday pickup on Saturday. We never run into the next week, and if a holiday is on the weekend, it does NOT affect the pickup schedule.
